Hi, I'm Mike Dodds the blogger responsible for Acoustic Guitar Player. I first started playing guitar at school and have played on and off ever since. I have two main guitars: a custom Ellastone Special guitar hand-made by Alan Marshall of Northworthy Guitars in Chesire, England, and a Scheerhorn Dobro. I'll get some pictures up here soon. My Ellastone Specialhas a sitka spruce top and stunning brazilian rosewood back and sides. I play mainly fingerstyle and I had Alan make the neck and string spacing wider than normal, just for me. Once I get the technology sorted out I'll put some short recordings here.
